12 Days on the New England Trailblazer Tour

New England Trailblazer Tour

The last day of the New England Trailblazer Tour was 254 miles and would take us from Bangor ME to Concord NH. It was in the low 60s and overcast when we took off, but the sun finally came out, it didn’t warm us, but did boost our spirits. I think we were all pretty tired from the New England Trailblazer Tour as all we did was ride and stop for gas. We even had something to eat at the gas station, which is so not like us.

We stopped at the American Police Motorcycle Museum, which was pretty cool before we got to the hotel about 17:00. We dumped our bags in the room and caught one of the buses to the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center. It would have been nice to be able to have spent a bit more time instead of the bar. It seems like we did quite a bit of that on our New England Trailblazer Tour.

After we got back to the hotel we walked down to this place called the Common Man, which had a nice bar. I got talking to Harley and Matt before Eddie and Anna came in with some of the guys from Saddle Tramp. We actually ended up closing the bar before walking back to the hotel.

We got the up next morning on our New England Trailblazer Tour and rode down to the Heritage Harley dealership for another pancake breakfast. We met up with Larry and Lisa from Georgia and this other guy from Texas. We actually met Larry and Lisa on the Wild West Ride. After breakfast, we all hugged each other, even the guy from Texas who I had never met before. The brotherhood of bikers is amazing.

Matt and Jodie were looking at a used bike, a Glide, for Jodie as the Sportster was feeling a little small for her. We are not sure if they bought it, as we were the last bike out of the hotel on the New England Trailblazer Tour. The previous night there were about 80 bikes.

We rode hard coming home, but only made it to Pittsburg PA. I really didn’t like Pittsburg, it just didn’t have a good feel for me, but then again I’m not a big city guy.New England Trailblazer Tour

Join us next week for the final New England Trailblazer Tour blog, at least for this year anyway.

Merry Christmas everyone and here’s to a safe and prosperous New Year!
