2014 is Going to be a Great Year

It’s been a busy holiday season and it’s still going strong for us both. The store is busier than ever with after Christmas sales and that means we are pretty tired by the time we close up for the night. Needless to say that hasn’t given us much chance to enjoy a, “Travels with Harley,” but I can still live vicariously through the new Harley Davidson’s that I have been reading about lately, and looking forward to the warmer months when we can enjoy some group rides.

2014 is going to be a big year for Harley and a big year for the Loyds. Once the weather plays fair, we are going to take more road trips this year than we did in 2013. Our chapter has quite a few activities coming up that we plan to take part in.

This year is going to be awesome. I can’t wait to hit the road with the rest of the members of our chapter, and participate in some of the upcoming events. They’ve got a, “Pet Day,” coming up, but I don’t know if our kids, cats, could be bothered. They would rather stay at home, lounge in the sun, and just be kids, um, cats.

Jim and I are going to try to participate in some of the, “End of the Month Rides.” On January 26th, the destination is yet to be determined, but I like that. It’s kind of like a mystery adventure.

The store is always busy on a Saturday, and it’s tough to get away, but I’m hoping that one of us can get to the In-Store seminar on the 26th of this month. I think Jim should be the one to go as he can learn more about how to enhance the performance of our Road King and check out some specials from the service department.

Another event that I don’t want to miss is the, “Hot Hogs and Chili Dogs,” event on April 12. The all chapter-supported event is right up my alley. If you have followed my blog, you will know that I love to eat. This is another Saturday event, but I’ve already scheduled myself off for the day, hopefully Jim can make it as well.

Be sure and check out the Bourbeuse Valley Chapter website as Jim and I are featured in Photo Albums from our ride in the parade at the 110th Harley Davidson Anniversary event.

This year is going to be awesome and I can’t wait to hit the road with Jim in more, “Travels with Harley,” I’ll keep you posted!
